Fostering and training of children and young people in mountain and snow sports.
Sponsorship and advancement of prospective mountain guides.
The concept consists of 3 stages:
Inspire – Motivate – Assist
Founded on the principles of fun, companionship and movement.
Caters to young people from the age of 10. There is close cooperation with the Zermatt Ski Club and the SAC of the Zermatt and Nikolai sections. During the winter, children receive instruction in snow sports. Various climbing and small alpine tours are organised in the summer.
The aim of stage 1 is to get as many young people as possible, enthusiastic about mountain and snow sports.
A more in-depth knowledge of mountain and snow sports for young people aged 15 and over.
Accompanied by mountain guides, the young people receive the necessary knowledge and experience to organise and carry out tours themselves.
The aim of stage 2 is a solid basic training in the field of mountain and snow sports, a prerequisite for later training as a mountain guide and/or ski instructor.
Candidates who want to train as mountain guides, are specifically prepared and supervised for the courses in stage 3 by mountain guides and experts. Each course module is worked through in advance with a field expert.
